The Exam
………with the exam underway Ben tried to control himself in the spinning room. He was feeling nauseous but had pushed aside any urge to be sick. Vomiting in the middle of the exam hall would not be a good look. He had his pen in his hand ready for action. Looking at the questions he was sure that he could make a fair attempt at one or two of them. However, there was one problem that he had to address before he could attempt the answers.

The Researcher
………This was a raid, the police had been tipped off about a massive stash of marijuana and so they were prepared in numbers to deal with it. Someone had given them his address and they were on their way to grab the stash and to arrest him. Within minutes they would be in his apartment and whether you have an explanation or not having over 200kg of ganje in your room never looks good.

….Carl and Sally looked on bewildered at the frantic couple. What on earth could be going on? The couple sped by making a bee line for the path at the side of the house. In seconds Carl and Sally would become fully cognizant of the situation but it would be too late for them to intervene.

Hi everyone, my name is Alan Barr. I started writing last year with amazon kindle direct publishing. So far I’ve published ‘Mixed Bag: 10 short stories’ as an e book and it is now available in print.
